Science projects for kidsYou can make you own air blaster with a plastic soda bottle, plastic wrap, and some duct tape. (If you can find a large round water bottle, that’s even better!)

Step1.  Carefully cut the bottom off of a large soda bottle where the bottle straightens out to meet the sides.  Throw away the bottom and the cap.

Step 2.  Put tape over the cut edges so they aren’t sharp.

Step 3.  Place a sheet of plastic wrap over the open end of the bottle and tape it to the sides all around, keeping it tight as you go. Be sure the tape seals the plastic completely.

Step 4.  Done.

If you tap the plastic wrap sharply, a puff of air will shoot out the open end.

Aim it at your face and tap the bottom.

>poof!<

You’ll feel the air!

Make some little paper napkin balls and line them up along the table.  Tap to blow them away!

Experiment to see how far you can make your air blast go.
